This Tuesday I did some multiplication with Mr Buckland we did the answers like this, 

34x16 = 30x6 30x10 4x6 and 4x10 and add the answers together.

I did a basic maths test it was my best one because I got 100/100 in 6minutes and 20seconds

The Legend Of Lake Ora

Do you remember the legend of Lake Ora?

Sure you do. Remember when the taniwha appeared on the full moon with its big teeth and scaley tail. Remember how the taniwha was splashing and writhing on the edge of the lake.

Remember the warrior that rushed down and saw the taniwha wriggling around. Remember that the warrior went to the taniwha to show the Puhi tribe he was brave. Remember that the taniwha fled before the warrior could get him.

Remember how the taniwha appeared exactly one year later on another full moon. Remember when the cheifs daughter was found by the taniwha. Remember how the cheifs daughter screamed as she was being dragged away.

Remember how the warrior grabbed his biggest spear and raced after the taniwha. Remember how the warrior searched for two days and two nights turning up the water so the lake turned brown. Remember how the warrior came out of the water with no girl but a portion of the taniwhas body stuck to the spike on his spear.

That is the legend of Lake Ora.

I did this thing called word work and its when you read a book and write down the words you don't understand and find out about them ( the only reason I didn't know these words was because they are Samoan)

Toast

I worked on LPG 14 I can include visual features such as labeled diagrams, headings, maps, and charts because I did some writing showing how to make toast.

We did a mind map with Mrs B (but I did a popplet) about why are forests important.

James and I did a report on Totara trees because we found one in the wet lands and because it is James's house.

Story Map

On Monday the 8th of May we did a Story Map that is a piece of paper that you draw the path of the story on. In my picture it's the path of the book The Gruffalo.

This week, one goal I worked on was " drawing pictures to tell a story", in reading 

Mr B read us a book it was Room On The Broom then we had to do some writing and drawings to go with it, as you can see here.
