Dad

Dad 

My dad has red hair and is usually wearing either his work suite witch is just a black suite with black pants and black shoes or his crossfit clothes. He has a joking attitude but he can get annoyed at times. My dad has a short red beard that he trims into place. He also uses beard oil on it to keep it smooth. Dad has bright blue eyes that turn turquoise in the centre. Fiddling with his beard, he ruffles it out of shape. My dad's tattoos of flowers birds and other things are like fish swimming all over him. 

Dad works at sport northland so he helps in things like the beach to basin and some marathons. Stuart  is my dads name and he is a tough man because I've never seen him cry in my entyer life. In the weekends and some times throughout the week my dad goes to crossfit witch is a place where you get fit. I've always thought of my dad as a kind person, and that's the right thing to think because he is. I love my dad, he is the best dad I could ever wish for because he is just awesome.

Letter

Dear Mum 

Last Thursday I creeped out of my drey to collect some acorns from in The piles of leaves. 

Then I heard a swoosh and a creaking of branches. I jumped up and managed to dig my short little claws into a tree trunk. I tried to scamper up the tree as the hawk’s talons scraped the branches behind me. 

I leaped into my drey and watched the hawk through the gap in the leaves. For a few seconds I thought I was safe until the hawk grabbed my drey and started tearing it apart with his talons. 

As quick as a flash, I jumped out of my drey and into another tree. Scampering around for about five minutes, I find a hollow in a tree. So I climbed in and hoped the hawk couldn't get me. The hawk came and stuck its beak in, I thought it was the end until the hawk realised it couldn't get in so gave up. 

The downside was I had to rebuild my whole drey.

This is my maths I did this week. I was learning how to use equivalent ratios and I did a basic facts test I got 84/100

My Story

Geoff And The Gold Mine

Clank clank. The rattle of the cart got louder and faster the heavier the load got. Geoff had been in the mine for about two hours and found about twenty KGs of gold. The funny thing was it was all lying on the sandy floor like someone had already mined it out and got scared away and dropped it all on their way out. He got into the mine because  his grandpa owned a big section of land that Geoff was staying on and he happened to find the mine a cart and a picaxe. Geoff went into the mine to see if he could find anything. He kept walking through the mine but now he was a bit anxious because he didn't know what left the gold, suddenly Geoff was encased in a thick layer of acid green gas. 

 Geoff woke up in a room made of solid rock, surrounding him was an army of masked men chanting “hey woko mye hey woko mye”, Geoff tried to scream but realised he couldn't scream he couldn't do anything but listen and breath. Geoff thought they must have put some sort of spell on him. Just when he thought it was the end his grandpa who owned the mine burst through a wall knocking over two of the masked figures and beating others with his shovel. Geoff’s grandpa who's name is Frank ran over to Geoff faster than Geoff thought an old man could run then Frank cut some ropes binding Geoff’s hands and legs that he never noticed were there. As soon as the ropes were cut, Geoff could move and speak again. Running fast, Geoff speed out of the cavern where he was kept.  

Frank and Geoff were not alone though the masked figures were following but they had taken their masks off and Geoff could see their faces but they weren't faces they looked like a big crinkled grey sheet with slits for eyes small triangle mouths with browny yellow teeth and no nose at all. When they got to the entrance of the cave Frank threw a piece of gold he picked up at the roof of the cave. Geoff ran out but Frank and the monsters with masks were crushed when the mine caved in. Geoff was devastated because Frank had died to save him. But there was still one mystery left what in the world were those ugly chanting creatures. Geoff still ponders on this question to this day.
